Gaming can prove to be quite fun on the LC40LE700UN as it features a Vyper Drive Game Mode that will help reduce delay as well as lags caused by the sluggish response between the television and the game console. In addition to that, the 120Hz refresh rate also allows the user to experience incredible detail in motion pictures. However, this may result in the infamous “soap opera effect” caused by high refresh rate television as well. It is recommended to turn off this feature unless there is a need to watch high speed broadcasts such as sports.
“I cant say enough about how great this tv is. The new ultra brilliant color display with LED backlighting is superb and ive never seen a more clear cut, sharp, clear tv before. The color is amazing, the blacks are so deep but the rest of the color so vibrant and clear. The sound quality is great too. I mainly got this tv to watch blue ray movies and play my playstation 3 in HDMI and the picture quality in unmatched. I previously had a 32′ Vizio LCD and this tv blows it out of the water. I highly recommend this tv to any gamer or anyone who loves to watch very action packed, graphic movies. This was a steal!” — Joshua M. Tucker
“We purchased this TV for a bedroom where the TV is in an armoir. The bezel on this TV is narrower than on any other 40″ TV on the market right now which allowed us to fit the 40″ SHARP TV in a space where only 37″ TV’s from other manufacturers would fit. The picture quality is great with the LED backlighting. The TV is a little slow to turn on when it has been off for a while (about 10 seconds to turn on in the morning). It’s a great TV at a much better price than LED TV’s from Samsung or Sony.” — David Filgas
The LC40LE700UN has a USB slot which may be used to upgrade the firmware of the LED HDTV. Not only that, it can also play photos as well as MP3 songs thanks to the USB Photo Viewer with Music Player. In addition to that, the AQUOS Net feature of the HDTV also allows contents to be extracted from the Internet as well as widgets to be used on the television itself. Those having AQUOS Blu-Ray player may also utilize the AQUOS Link technology supported by this television. It allows easier access to the player through the television and can potentially reduce any hassles that may occur with players of other brands.

Thank you so much for the good review. I have been looking for a review on this tv by people who know what they are talking about when it comes to TVs and you answered all my questions. It has the viper drive gaming mode, it has low response times, and has a “removeable” 120hz so I don’t have to watch soap operas. I was worried if this TV would creat more blur then my Aquos LC32-D10 tv I bought in Japan. But apparently this TV beats mine in every way. This is the TV for me. Thanks!
