There will be no distortion in terms of image or a dark image at any angles making it possible to place the television on a big room. The 42-Inch television is great for medium to big sized rooms. Picture quality on the SV421XVT is on par with many of its contender of the same range. It offers crisp and clear pictures when viewing Full HD media. Sports fans may also consider getting this model as it is capable of giving extremely sharp details thanks to the 240Hz refresh rate making it great for those fast moving sports such as football. Sound quality is nonetheless great for a television of this price. Casual viewing would be no problem but there would be a lack of bass as there are no subwoofers on the television. Nonetheless, those getting this television would have no problem getting a decent quality sound system as well.
“I was a bit hesitent at first to buy a Vizio because it is a “bargain brand,” but after doing a lot of research on hdtv’s and consulting a techie friend of mine I decided to go with this Vizio model. I was very impressed by the picture quality of the TV, the TV’s appearance, the ease of use, and even the packaging. This is my first HDTV, and after setting it up I put it next to my regular tv, put both TV’s on the same station and noticed the difference is almost night and day. I don’t know how I’ve gone so long with out one of these, lol.
I gave only 4 stars for sound quality only because if you’re going to have the best in picture quality you probably shouldn’t rely on the sound that comes stock with your tv.
Someone gave a review of this TV and complained about the plastic smell. I noticed a plastic smell when I first took the TV out of the box. I don’t think it was more strong than any other tv would be, and definitely not unbearable. After it had been out of the box for a day I did not notice it anymore, not because I was used to the smell, but because it just wasn’t there or wasn’t strong enough.
